It's Friday. It's Props day. Here's some cool stuff. Google I/O is on right now, and GoPro showed up in force. On the heels of yesterday's announcement that they would be launching their own line of quadcoptor drones, GoPro has revealed a new camera rig to pair with Google's "Jump" VR system. It's the world of tomorrow from yesterday! It's Friday Props, the Retrofuturist edition! I stumbled across some wonderfully quirky visions of the future this week and had to share them for Friday Props. First up is work from Australian artist Tanya Schultz, who works under the pseudonyme Pip & Pop. Like her chosen name, her work is light, playful, and full of quirk. Spring is (technically) here, and we're itching for some sunshine around the office. This weeks props go out to some projects that bring a little more color and quirk into our lives; It's Friday Props, the Spring Fever Edition. My first props this week goes to Japanese art collective TeamLab for their latest installation piece "Floating Flower Garden". The immersive piece, currently installed at Miraikan in Tokyo, consists of over 2300 live flowers suspended in a room.
