Edgeworks Creative is proud to unveil the new municipal website for the town of Brattleboro. The website development process for this project included significant collaboration with a town employee (shout out to Seth!) who worked closely with Edgeworks Creative to organize and categorize information to greatly improve website usability and navigation.

Accessibility for the site was a primary concern, and the Accessibe widget was implemented on this site to provide an excellent set of assistive tools for those who want or need to use them. 

The website features a homepage designed to deliver users the most pertinent information including an agenda-style calendar for upcoming events, latest news blog posts for up-to-date town news, and multiple navigation pathways to the most commonly requested information.

Google Drive is implemented so town documents such as meeting minutes and agendas are easily reachable and clearly organized. Boards and commissions and departments manage their own pages and sections and their normal workflow for document management within Google Drive then updates the website accordingly.

The reaction among the public has been overwhelmingly positive. We are grateful to have been provided the opportunity to build a new website for Brattleboro and we are frankly over the moon with the public response. 

Our work with Brattleboro included "cleaning up" the town logo which was only available in a pixelated graphic before. We moved the logo file into a vector format so it can now be utilized at any scale without the artifacts that had previously been problematic.
