Friday Props-The Projects and Such Edition

Friday Props: The projects and such edition It's been a few fridays since Friday Props showed it's face. There's a whole slew of projects going on at the Edgeworks Creative office, so I'm keeping the theme alive with the projects and such edition of Friday Props. I'll start off this week with a little in house project, the lunch button. We're often faced with the task of finding a new way to express the fact that it's lunch time. Our go to tends to be a meme of some sort related (sometimes) to food. We've been having some fun with a raspberry Read More >>

I'm diving right into this weeks props with a project by inventor Niklas Roy. It's a giant pinball machine, need I say more? Check it out below and see his other work, such as a "Perpetual Energy Wasting Machine",  here. My second props this week goes to CineFix For one of the newest addition to their 8-bit Cinema series, which features movies retold in the 8-bit arcade style. Fans of Hayao Miyazaki will instantly recognize this classic even in it's new condensed form. If you're not an anime fan, fear not, the series Read More >>

I'll kick off with some senior citizens with some serious street cred. Lata 65 takes first props for bringing the culture of street to the elderly by running workshops in Lisbon Portugal. The project pairs elderly citizens with street artists to create public works of art and cultivate community. Second props this week are going to an urban climbing duo operating as "On The Roofs" for this video of them climbing what is Read More >>

It's no secret that the I'm a big fan of DIY and hackable projects, which is why this weeks props go out to some mind blowingly cool work in the realm of apparel mods, wearable diy projects, and hacks. It's Friday Props; The Hackable You edition. [JELLYFISH IMAGE] You may have seen this Jellyfish Dress floating around the web. If you're like me your thought process may have gone straight from "that's nifty" to "I wonder how I could make it". If you were interested in making one, you'll be happy to know its creator, Natalie Walsh, has an instructables Read More >>

Friday Props #91 - Internet findings

Good tidings and strange findings, it’s an internet depths edition of Friday Props. We’ve got another round of things that only exist because of the internet, starting with this list of airport’s baggage carousels, and the directions they turn in. Found via the Dull Men’s Club website, which sports taglines such as “wherever you go, there you are” the list is exactly what you’d expect it to be, but here’s the link nonetheless. We’ll follow up with a project from French telecom company Orange that lets you virtually age yourself 20 years, and interact with the result. The project is Read More >>
