Drones! Drones! Drones!

You may have guessed that todays props are all about drones. Love them or hate them, they're pretty solidly here to stay, so here's a look at some of the cool things being done with them. First up I'll props Festo Bionics for their new take on what a drone should be. Go ahead and marvel over their newly revealed autonomous butterfly drones in action below.

Next up is some pure eye candy in the form of Rotorworks drone footage showreel. Shot entirely with drones, this quick reel contains some amazing aerial footage. If you're considering purchasing a drone of your own this quick video might just convince you.

My third props goes to Cirque Du Soleil's take on drone use. The video entitled "Sparked" is a whimsical performance with drones taking center stage. Check it out below!

My fourth and final drone props goes to Ars Electronica Futurelab for this project using quadcopters decked out in LED's to light paint in the sky.

The props don't stop there though. I've got a fifth, non-drone bonus props going to Nikko Mamallo for his nighttime, LED fueled skydiving jump. Just because jumping out of a plane wasn't cool enough.
