Happy Friday everyone! Here's some props to kick off your weekend!First up is this little tool to generate animated text. It's easy to use, and exports to a gif form in a multitude of colours. It's fun, and that's enough for me to props it. Give it a try here. XXXXXXXXXX Next up is this palette generator based entirely around the original set of pokemon. It displays the colors used in the illustrations side by side with the 8 bit art. Find your favorites over at http://pokepalettes.com/. Here's the obligatory pikachu as well as a couple palettes I personally enjoyed quite Read More >>
It's been a pretty hectic week here at edgeworks creative, so i'm keeping the theme going with a Whirlwind Edition of Friday Props. Here Goes! First up is this time collapsed video of kites on the beach. It's a fitting start to this eclectic collection of propsworthy coolness. It's neat, need I say more? Next up is this mock campaign to build a 300 mile wall around San Francisco. Why? To keep burning man participants from returning of course! The video featured below is fairly amusing itself, but the site itself (http://megagogo.co/) completes the experience https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PO_r6ndZRZY How Read More >>
Pleased to announce another new client website - Friends of the Winooski River.

My props this week are entirely inspired by a curated collection of creators I found early in the week. http://thosewhomake.com/ is dedicated to showcasing people endeavoring to craft by hand. The site features videos, short interviews, vintage photos, and various books for those who want to make for themselves. Those Who Make doesn't take much time to describe itself, focusing purely on it's content. All I can find is that it's run by Michael Ariel, a maker of quality handmade textile goods found under the name Proudly Say. All around it's a wonderful site to explore the mindset of the the Read More >>
Here's to another work week coming to a close. Let's celebrate with some friday props! It's a mixed bag edition, so here's a bunch of things I found interesting. This Parody. Entitled "The Timmy Brothers" this piece is a great parody piece about bespoke drinking water. Give it a watch, enjoy a laugh, and pass it along?
A short look at the Timmy Brothers, Brooklyn–based makers of bespoke drinking water.
Bill and Terry Timmy are introducing handcrafted water to the world with an almost pathological attention to craftsmanship and a thirst
I'm always a fan of a well done cover song. There's something to be said for the community created by sharing and appropriating music. So when I stumbled upon the series AV Undercover I had to give it props. Each series they draft a list of songs to be performed, then bring in artists who have to perform one of the songs from the list. The results are pretty spectacular. Here are a few of my favorites so far. Punch Brothers cover The Strokes' "Reptilia" Screaming Females Cover Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" Of Montreal covers The White Stripes' "Fell In Love With Read More >>
Friday Props often means stumbling into some pretty strange and fascinating places. Today's props is inspired by my first props reciever, No Man's Sky. It's a procedurally generated game that has potential to change the world of gaming forever. Why? Because it's massive. Scratch that. It's not just massive; it's infinite. Read More >>
It's astounding how quickly a week goes by, but it's mind blowing how many cool ideas are dreamt up in such a short time. So here's to dreamers and their dreams. It's Friday Props: The Dreamy Dreamscapes Edition. I'll start off with some space props, because who doesn't dream of space? NASA is commemorating 50 years of space walks with a Documentary Entitled "Suit Up". Additionally they've put up a page on their site focusing around the milestone. Featured in the site is a gallery of images that are astoundingly cool. Check them out here. https://www.nasa.gov/suitup/spacewalks https://www.nasa.gov/suitup My next props goes to some Read More >>
It's another week of Friday Props, another week of cool findings big and small. Immensely large and incomprehensibly tiny, here's what I've found. First up is this music video created by artist collective Strange Freedom. It's composed from thousands of microscopic stills time lapsed into a variety of abstract forms. The atmospheric visuals melt into abstract landscapes in nearly perfect synch with the music. Give it a look below. . Second in this weeks props is a film by Trent Jaklitsch entitled Supersymmetry, that connects challenges with a greater sense of purpose, and a Read More >>
