Friday Props #57

About ten years ago, inspirational posters took off, covering office walls and cubicles across this rich land. Friday Props #56

Here we are again. You and I on this lovely early-summer Friday, distracting ourselves from the last few hours of work before the weekend. This week we bring you Friday Props quite a bit later than normal - it's Friday Props Late Edition! I'm okay with that because our little Friday Props has grown up a bit and can stay out later. So for this weeks' Props I'm handing out recognition to great commencement speeches and advice. The first Props goes out to Steve Jobs for Read More >>

Step inside and buckle up for the website owners manual.

Friday Props #51

I do not watch a lot of TV. I do not spend a lot of time watching shows on my computer, either. Friends may argue this point, but I can assure you that once the Boston Bruins are no longer playing, my television will be notably silent until at least September.

I don’t watch all that much TV. Sure, I have a few shows that I like to follow as much as possible, but I don’t have a DVR and missing a show to me is less important than, say, taking advantage of a lovely evening fishing out on a pond.

Friday Props #49

Down to the south of us Vermont folk in a flatter land with many more people and many more monuments is a place of great symbolism and structure. In this place, people make important decisions. They also make money. I spent some time this past week in Washington, DC and took a tour of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing where they print about 700 million dollars every day.
