Restaurant Rebrand - Arvads Grill

Recently we completed a year-long project with one of Waterbury's most iconic restaurants - Arvads. We were brought on board to help with a re-branding effort for the local eatery to coincide with their 25th anniversary of being in business.  Arvads Grill (formerly Arvad's Grill & Pub) approached Edgeworks Creative with the knowledge that they wanted to change things up a bit and offer something different than what they had been doing. Having been in business as long as they have they felt as though the other restaurants in town were benefitting more from the beer tourism and foodie movement that Read More >>

It's that time of week again - the time when we share some of the cool stuff we find. And this week is a special edition because it's the "Oh Crud! Darren's not here and it's Friday!!" edition, which means yours truly is at the helm with absolutely no planning ahead for this. There is nothing connecting this weeks Props together expect maybe - just maybe - they are all pretty neat. The first Props is going out to our old friend the Spirograph. Mind you, this isn't the plastic toy we had as kids. You know - the one whose Read More >>

New Wordpress Migration: Catholic Fiction

One of the things we least like (hate most?) about Wordpress is how often these websites are attacked. If you run a Wordpress site take a look at your server logs and you are likely to find hundreds upon hundreds of attempts by bots trying to break into the website administration. Sometimes, though, it isn't neccessarily brute force attacks on admin login, but rather updates to critical security flaws in the software that don't get applied because people are busy running their businesses and might not even be aware they are at risk. Edgeworks Creative does not work with Wordpress because Read More >>

The time when machines are going to be smarter than us and take over the world is fast approaching… oh, wait.. what? Scratch that, literally. Google created an artificial brain that had 16,000 computer processors. When it was let loose on the internet it watched thousands of videos of CATS. To make sure that I was prepared for this fascinating and probably addicting binge of cats, I meandered over to urbandictionary to look up a few key terms. 1. Cat: The definitive pet. Cleans self. Knows how to catch its own food. Probably gave humans the idea for a “vacuum”. Is intelligent and curious. Read More >>

We recently improved our server backup solutions and are happy to announce that Edgeworks Creative now provides real-time file backups for our client websites. Our new system scans our servers for files that have changed and automatically captures a real-time offsite backup of any files that are added, removed or changed. This means that in the event of a disaster we will now be able to recover all our client website data quickly with minimal chance of data loss.    Read More >>
