There are times when we get to work on projects that have personal significance and meaning beyond the normal measurements for business. Chief among those opportunities are when we get to work with civic and non-profit groups that have real-world local impacts. We count ourselves grateful to have been selected to provide a new website as well as branding elements for our own local library: Kimball Public Library.
The project originally began with brand development. Although Edgeworks Creative had bid on this work, it was initially awarded to another firm. The work they produced, however, showed no awareness of the library or the community it serves. It was both expensive and uninspired. The library turned to us to step in and provide the brand assets they were looking for: a logo, typogrpahic standard, color palette and custom illustrations that helped reflect the nature of the library. We were very happy to oblige!
The Kimball Public Library website was designed to be performant, accessible and easy for library staff to maintain. We love being a part of improving the usability of the library website for our community and we look forward to many years of working together with our local library to help them with their mission to foster the lifelong learning, civic participation, and interaction of all of their community’s members.
