This week we offer Friday Props to Vermont artist Jane Davies.

Davies is a prolific abstract artist working largey in acrylics and collage and she often also incorporates drawing media in her works. Her work is layered, bold, exploratory and rich. 

Her career began as a freelance artist, but it wasn't until she transitioned to teaching workshops that her own artistic freedom was born. Free of requirements on her to work to satisfy the needs of a commercial product or instructional value she let loose -- and aren't we the lucky ones?
