Friday Props #80: Feeling Fat?

It's been 2014 for a while now. Did you make a New Year's Resolution? How did it turn out? Still going strong or are you keeping your resolution for NEXT year?

The Top Five American New Year's Resolutions:

1. Lose Weight

2. Get Organized

3. Spend Less, Save More

4. Enjoy Life to the Fullest

5. Stay Fit and be Healthy

Two (possibly three if you count "enjoy life to the fullest"- what does that actually mean anyway? Super vague, people...) of the resolutions have to do with weight loss. If you're from a state where snow falls, you might fall into the category of people who tend to be more sedentry...

That's ok! No shame- 75% of people are able to maintain their resolution for one week. After six months, only 46% of people are still going strong (and thye pronbably had lame resolutions like "go to bed earlier").

If you are struggling with resolution #1 or #5 (possibly #4?) Edgeworks has a solution for you! Exercise is always more fun when you shake up the routine so we want to give props to these non-traditional athletes!

1. Have you ever wanted to be ripped and full of grace? How about a spin on the Cyr Wheel? You'll be the coolest and fittest kid at every party.

2. Not so keen of possibly having your fingers crushed by a gigantic metal ring? How about working on your flexibility while conquoring your fear of heights?

3. Don't have high ceilings or ample floor rolling space? You can set up one of these stations right in your own basement. Bonus: When you have company you can see what fools they make of themselves while they try to replicate your awesomeness.

We know that winter can be long but don't let that stop you from trying fun new things! The Edgeworks staff is taking a page our of their own book and got a membership to the local gym. No- none of these avtivities are offered as classes... but there's still time to convince an instructor to take on the challenge.
